Just the one story this week, as Dune: Part II swept away Bob Marley: One Love with the biggest opening since Barbenheimer, its £9.3m opening weekend being nearly twice that of the first film back in 2021. For nay-sayers with no interest in sandy romping or skanking, potty mouthed comedy Wicked Little Letters is proving quite the counter-programming attraction in third place. On the arthouse circuit, Wim Wenders’ Oscar nominated Perfect Days is doing well, but not quite as well as Jonathan Glazer’s The Zone of Interest in its fifth week on release.
