A total of 26 teams were competing at the Dragon Boat Festival, organised by Bristol Breakfast Rotary Club on Sunday. Also called Duanwu Festival or Tuen Ng Festival, the celebration is a traditional Chinese holiday commemorating the ancient poet Qu Yuan.
At the festival’s celebration in Bristol, some teams wore party hats as costumes while others wore horn-shaped headbands and fish-shaped caps.
All teams were fundraising for different causes as they competed in multiple heats throughout the day.
