Art / West Bristol Arts Trail
West Bristol is ready for its 18th Arts Trail
Hot on the heels of the South Bristol Arts Trail, The Island Open Studios and Art on the Hill, on October 11-12 it is the turn of artists in Clifton, Cliftonwood, Hotwells and Redland to show their work to visitors.
Spread across over 44 residential and community venues, over 100 artists will be participating in the annual West Bristol Arts Trail, which is now in its 18th year.
From award-winning and established painters to jewellery makers, potters, glass, wood and scrap metal artists, sculptors, photographers, printmakers and furniture makers, there is truly something to suit every taste.
is needed now More than ever

“I often work along the North Pembrokeshire coast, but also the Calabria region of Southern Italy”, says Peploe. “When in Bristol I paint still lifes in my studio.”
Stephanie Holden will be showing her mixed media paintings and greetings cards at the event. “The inspiration for my art is grounded in nature, particularly reflecting more wild and abandoned places, from both my local environment and from journeys further afield, often on walking and sketching travels”, she says.
“I explore nature’s beauty through my creative practice, working with mixed media to produce vibrant semi abstract landscapes.”

Norway-born and Bristol-based contemporary visual artist Tove Syed will also be exhibiting work across the weekend.
She describes her practice as “a reflection of my love and curiosity for life”, saying: “I love how art is a universal language and has the ability to open doors for communication and understanding, and can transcend perceived differences.

“I strive to create art that can inspire the viewers’ imagination, and evoke memories and feelings. My hope is that the expression in my art has a universal quality which can connect with viewers wherever they are from.”
Organisers of the trail are spearheading their publicity for the event with social media posts that spotlight individual artists participating in the weekend, giving prospective visitors a flavour of the rich array of work that will be on show.
