Creative lockdown: Mikaela Davis

Mikaela Davis is part of the ongoing Bristol24/7 Creative Lockdown series, showcasing how people in Bristol have been getting arty under lockdown.

An artist from Upper Knowle has been creating lots of work during the lockdown.

Mikaela Davis has been painting since a young age and loves creating contemporary abstract pieces. In the attic studio of her Victorian terrace shared with her partner and dog, she has created artwork inspired by her feelings and experiences of the lockdown.

New York Shower is Mikaela’s “way of trying to escape to somewhere different in my mind during these strange times” and describes, another artwork, Eye of the Storm as “quite appropriate”, given the circumstances.
