Final piece of Finzels Reach Bridge in place
Bristol’s newest bridge has now been fixed into position, but we will have to wait until the new year to walk or cycle across the 91-metre structure.
The curved steel bridge was created piece by piece over five days to connect Castle Park with the new Finzels Reach development, having been transported in sections by barge from Cattle Market Wharf next to Temple Meads before being fixed into position.
The final large section was lowered into place on Friday, with further works now following to stabilise and complete the £2.7 million bridge.
