Bristol to get new trampoline park

By Laura Collacott  Monday Apr 11, 2016

A new trampolining park is due to open in Bristol next month.

Swindon company Freedog are set to open their second ‘urban activity centre’, where visitors will be able to bounce, learn parkour, play dodgeball or practice their landings in large foam pits.

A planning application has been granted for a second site at Temple Gate featuring trampolines as well as party rooms, a cafe and viewing area. The 31,000 sq ft unit includes 55 parking spaces and is expected to provide employment for 45 full-time staff and 20 part-time.

Freedog’s Isabella Mazzotta said: “Although we will have a trampoline zone in Bristol, our main focus and selling point will be our Parkour Academy, along with wall running, slackline and other ‘urban activities’ such as a laser maze and power tower.”

“The proposal will create skilled jobs in the area, support the local economy and provide local people with an alternative and enjoyable form of exercise close to the city centre,” the company said in its planning application.

Bristol already has one popular trampolining park – AirHop in Patchway is said to be the world’s largest – alongside clubs such as Axis Trampoline Club in Bedminster.
