Free workshops for BAME entrepreneurs
Businesses that are run by women or black, Asian, minority and ethnic (BAME) entrepreneurs are being invited to a series of events across the region where they can tell The West of England Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) what they require to run their companies more successfully, including access to funding, training and support.
Dr Zara Nanu, project lead, said: “We are really excited at launching this ground-breaking project and hearing from people who can often miss out on business support. The Government is asking how they can help so we really encourage women and BAME-led businesses to make sure their voice is heard.”
This project is designed to enhance understanding of the make up and contribution of women and BAME-led businesses to the region’s economy and identify their specific business support requirements (if any) to maximise their growth and success.
The next Bristol event will be held on October 11 at the Bristol and Bath Science Park between 12 and 2pm. Register for the event is here.
