North by Northwest + intro & Bernard Herrmann score talk

Director
Alfred Hitchcock
Certificate
PG
Running Time
136 mins

Cary Grant‘s fourth and final collaboration with Alfred Hitchcock remains one of Hitch’s most entertaining films: a mistaken identity thriller packed with comedy and romance, whose iconic set-pieces include that attack by the crop-dusting plane and the big finale atop Mount Rushmore.

This screeneing at the Planetarium is part of the Cary Grant Comes Home for the Weekend festival. It’ll be preceded by a video intro from IMDB founder Col Needham, who ranks North by Northwest in his all-time top ten. There will also be a talk by Matthew Sweet about Bernard Herrmann‘s distinctive score. From 7pm, you can listen to this while staring at the stars. Go here for tickets.
