Jodie Foster makes her first screen appearance in five years as the star of this science fiction action thriller from Brit first-time writer/director Drew Pearce, whose previous credits include the scripts for Iron Man 3 and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.
She plays The Nurse, who runs a secret members-only hospital for criminals in the riot-torn LA of 2028. There are a few rules that need to be obeyed – no murdering of other patients, and so on – but then a hugely valuable McGuffin turns up and the code of honour among thieves is strained to breaking point.
