The Forever Purge

Director
Everardo Gout
Certificate
15
Running Time
103 mins

A direct sequel to 2016’s The Purge: Election Year, this fifth film in the franchise sees a bunch of breakaway purgers deciding to continue the Purge indefinitely and targeting those they consider not to be proper Americans. You know: migrants, mixed-race families, etc. While conceding that the film delivers all the violence audiences crave, many US critics found this installment rather predictable and heavy-handed in its preachiness.

Enthusiasts may wish to note that while this was originally billed as the final film in the series, the producers subsequently changed their minds and are already beavering away on number six.
