This being a supernatural flick from M. Night Shyamalan – Y’know The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, etc – it’s filled with plenty of twists and turns, so only the bare bones of the set-up can be revealed here. Gael Garcia Bernal, his wife Vicky Krieps and two nippers are enjoying a tropical holiday when they’re invited on a “once in a lifetime experience” on a secret beach. After their driver buggers off at high speed, the family meet another bunch of folks on the shore – a doctor (Rufus Sewell), his instagram obsessed wife (Abbey Lee), a famous rapper (Aaron Pierre), and so on.
Then the beach yields its secret. Everyone starts to age incredibly quickly. It seems as though their lives will be over by the end of the day . . .
