Last Night in Soho

Director
Edgar Wright
Certificate
15
Running Time
116 mins

Haunted by her mother’s suicide, sixties-obsessed design student Eloise (Thomasin McKenzie) finds refuge in the past. Literally. Each night she slips into the body of a young singer named Sandy (Anya Taylor-Joy), who aspires to be the new Cilla Black, back in glamorous 1966 Soho. She’s living the dream, but dark clouds are gathering and her wide-boy saviour (Matt Smith) is not all he seems.

Edgar Wright‘s colourful, imaginative and knowing horror fantasy serves up a dazzling theme park 1960s and finds roles for plenty of stars of the era – notably Rita Tushingham, Terence Stamp and, in her final film role, Diana Rigg.
