The White Reindeer

Director
Erik Blomberg
Certificate
TBA
Running Time
74 mins

Having got hitched to an oft-absent reindeer herder, lonely Pirita attempts to spice up her love life with a visit to the local shaman in search of a suitable love potion. Alas, things go horribly wrong when she’s transformed into a shapeshifting white reindeer vampire. Unable to resist her charms, the horny local chaps come to sticky ends.

Shot on location in Lapland back in 1952 and now newly restored, this Golden Globe-winning horror fantasy was based on an old Lapp saga, with the shamanism and supernatural elements drawn from local folklore. Look no further if you fancy an alternative festive treat.
