Journey to the Beginning of Time

Director
Karel Zeman
Certificate
PG
Running Time
86 mins

Having enjoyed the dinosaur exhibit at the New York Museum of Natural History, a quartet of nippers embark on a joureny by boat into the prehistoric era in this delightful 1955 adventure romp.

An acknowledged influence on everyone from Jan Švankmajer to Tim Burton, Czech filmmaker Karel Zeman uses a variety of innovative techniques (cel animation, stop-motion, puppetry and animatronics) to bring those beasties to life. From 12 noon, the Cube is also hosting a drop-in workshop for kids to create dioramas inspired by the film, prior to this screening of the English dubbed version.
