For the second year running, the pandemic has prevented ‘King of the Waltz’ André Rieu from putting on his hugely popular annual Maastricht knees-up. So instead, he’s planning to delight his vast mature audience by revisiting his greatest hits.
Together Again comprises the usual selection of popular classics, this time drawn from performances around the world. These include Habanera & Manha De Carnaval live from São Paulo, The Rose recorded in Mainau in Germany and The Lonely Shepherd filmed in Bucharest. There’s also a compilation of the Blue Danube, encompassing recordings from concerts throughout André’s 40 year career, during which fans can also enjoy the evolution of his trademark bouffant hairdo. In a new interview, he’ll also be reflecting on his career, including his experiences of the last year, with host Charlotte Hawkins.
