The story of the eponymous London teenager who returns home from school to find that her mother has departed, leaving some cash and a note of apology. She decides to keep quiet and look after her little brother on her own.

 

Based on a script by award-winning playwright Theresa Ikoko and Claire Wilson (The Little Drummer Girl), this authentic portrait of fmeale friendship was developed through extensive workshops with Suffragette and Brick Lane director Sarah Gavron and the female cast, all of whom were discovered through casting sessions at schools.
