Devout Calvinist George C. Scott goes searching for his missing daughter in LA’s seedy underbelly, where she has become a porn actress. Anyone who’s seen Taxi Driver, which was written by Hardcore writer/director Paul Schrader for Martin Scorsese, will anticipate that all this sin is likely to lead to an explosion of violence.

Neatly timed to coincide with the release of Schrader’s alleged return to form, First Reformed, this screening is a rare opportunity to see his 1979 follow-up to Blue Collar on the big screen.
