Chocks away for this rather stodgy 1969 tribute to ‘the few’, starring just about every Brit with a penis who was working in the movies in the late 1960s (Laurence Olivier, Robert Shaw, Christopher Plummer, Michael Redgrave, Trevor Howard, Kenneth More, Michael Caine, etc) and directed by Guy Hamilton between his Bond flicks Goldfinger and Diamonds are Forever. The aerial sequences just about make up for the dreary dialogue.
Following sell-out screenings of Airplane! and Top Gun, this 50th anniversary outing for Battle of Britain is Bristol Film Festival‘s third event beneath the wing of Concorde at Aerospace Bristol. Your ticket price includes an opportunity to nose around before the screening. Go here for tickets and further information.
