In rural Mie Prefecture, Japan, Koh inherits his father’s charcoal business, while Eisuke runs his father’s old car dealership. The duo are unexpectedly reunited with a third childhood friend when he returns from the Self-Defence Forces with PTSD, causing Koh to take a deeper look at the relationships in his life.

The winner of the Audience Award at the Tokyo International Film Festival, Junji Sakamoto‘s subtle, delicately performed drama concludes this year’s annual Japan Foundation Touring Film Programme.
