Anita: Swedish Nymphet

Director
Torgny Wickman
Certificate
18
Running Time
95 mins

Poor 17-year-old schoolgirl Anita (Swedish glamour model Christina Lindberg) suffers from the terrible affliction of nymphomania. Fortunately, there’s a psychiatrist on hand (the young Stellan Skarsgård, for it is really he) ready to deploy his new ‘rational-emotive’ therapy, which entails, you know, shagging her. Her parents, meanwhile, lose patience with her promiuscuity, change the locks and have an orgy of their own.

Described by Time Out as “ludicrous and melancholy”, this 1973 sexploitation drama makes an unexpected return to the big screen courtesy of the Everyman’s Cultpix season.
