Doc’n Roll Festival: The Inertia Variations

Director
Johanna St Michaels
Certificate
15
Running Time
85 mins

Johanna St Michaels‘ intimate portrait of The The frontman Matt Johnson explores the creative inertia that led to the cult musician not creating any new work for 15 years.

The film also takes a close look at Johnson’s 12-hour live radio broadcast called Radio Cineola, which “attempts to challenge contemporary politics”. It’s back on screen as part of the Doc’n Roll Festival with an intro by festival programmer Colm Forde.
