Stir Crazy

Director
Sidney Poitier
Certificate
15
Running Time
106 mins

Following the success of Silver Streak, Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder teamed up once again for this feast of mugging – directed by Sidney Poitier, no less – which has them wrongfully imprisoned for a bank robbery. It’s not great. Some might even say it’s actually irritating. But Pryor’s chicken scene is hugely entertaining.

It’s on screen in Come the Revolution’s No B/S series, which celebrates black comedy as part of the BFI’s Comedy Genius season.
