Running Time
63 mins

Shown as part of the Slapstick Festival’s focus on the centenary of Buster Keaton’s screen debut, 1923’s Three Ages was his first feature. A parody of D.W. Griffith’s Intolerance, it tells the story of a young man (Keaton) trying to win the heart of a girl (Margaret Leahy) against a bigger, stronger, richer rival (Wallace Berry) in three different time periods: the Stone Age, Roman era and 1920s New York.

It’s introduced by Aardman’s co-director Peter Lord, with live piano accompaniment from Daan van den Hurk.
