With the help of rare photographs and archive clips, film historian David Robinson charts the early experiences that equipped Buster Keaton for comedy film stardom, including his upbringing in a vaudeville family; the Keaton family’s experience of English music hall; and his screen forays in happy partnership with Fatty Arbuckle.
