Yes it’s 2019 – as seen by a low-budget Italian rip-off merchant back in 1983 – and the world’s turned to crap. Specifically, New York is now a post-nuclear wasteland. But it does apparently harbour the last fertile woman on Earth. Now a mercenary sets out to rescue humanity’s last hope from the savages holding her prisoner.
One of a slew of Italian action flicks heavily, er, ‘inspired’ by Hollywood action hits – Escape from New York, in this instance, with a dash of Mad Max II – 2019: After the Fall of New York is a suitably craptabulous way to welcome in the real 2019, thanks to the Hellfire Video Club.
