Bristol City make play-offs for first time in 17 years
A 2-2 draw against Preston was just enough to secure Bristol City’s first appearance in the Championship play-offs since 2008.
Fans took part in a pitch invasion at Ashton Gate after the Robins’ sixth place finish was confirmed.
Liam Manning’s men will now take on third place Sheffield United over two legs, with the game in BS3 taking place on Thursday followed by a trip to Bramall Lane on May 12.

The other two clubs in the play-offs are Coventry and Sunderland.
It’s a while away yet but we can still dare to dream: the play-off final takes place at Wembley Stadium on May 24, with a place in the Premiership next season up for grabs.
