Who is standing in December’s General Election in Bristol’s four constituencies?

By Martin Booth  Tuesday Oct 29, 2019

With a General Election now all but certain to take place on December 12 2019, we already know a few of the candidates whose names will be on the ballot papers.

On Tuesday evening, MPs voted in favour of an election by 438 to 20; with the bill that seeks to implement a December 12 vote now having to pass through the House of Lords.

Expect more hopefuls to announce their candidacy in the coming weeks. But for now, these are the people who are standing in Bristol’s four parliamentary constituencies.
