Thieves target ambulance while paramedics treat child in Knowle

Thieves struck in broad daylight, stealing essential equipment and personal belongings from an ambulance, while paramedics tended to a poorly child.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened between 1.30pm and 2.40pm on Monday, May 21, on Delius Grove in Knowle.

A crew member’s purse, a work-issued Samsung Galaxy tablet device and essential ambulance equipment were stolen from the vehicle while the paramedics were responding to a call.

A police spokesperson said: “We’d like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time.

“If you have any information please call 101 and quote reference 5218110613.”
