Music appeal to save Trinity Centre
Swapping pound notes for music notes, a unique campaign has been set up to raise money towards conserving the Trinity Centre.
For every five pounds raised by the appeal, the notes will be exchanged for virtual music notes. If 4,000 notes are raised a new piece of music will be released by Portishead’s Adrian Utley who will be collaborating with guitarist John Parish.
A Grade II listed building, Trinity is a deconsecrated Georgian church, built between 1829-1832, which for several decades has hosted music gigs and arts events.
Located within one of the poorest areas of Bristol, the Trinity’s aim has always been to make their events affordable, and their building open to all.
The money raised will be used in a conservation effort to repair the building’s towers, roof, stained glass windows and exterior walls.

It is hoped that the appeal will raise £20,000 towards the £500,000 cost of repairs. The Trinity Centre aim to raise the notes and release a Trinity anthem in early 2017.
