Bierkeller Theatre

By Bristol24/7  Tuesday Oct 7, 2014

Housed in the famous and long-established Bierkeller club/gigspace, The Bierkeller Theatre opened its doors in January 2012. Although notorious for its punk and metal gigs – and legendary oompah nights – The Bristol Bierkeller first diversified bravely into theatrical territory in around 2010, hosting occasional one off productions (such as for the Bristol Shakespeare Festival). Since developing a committed theatre space, it has hosted over 150 productions ranging from up-and-coming local companies to international tours, Gothic horror seasons, site-specific interactive worlds, promenade performances and collaborations with Bristol Uni, UWE and Bath Spa university.
