Avon Gorge Hotel sold to hotel chain

The Avon Gorge Hotel has been sold to the group behind the Malmasion and Hotel du Vin hotel chain.

Frasers Hospitality said the hotel will continue to operate as the Avon Gorge until 2016 when re-development plans will be unveiled.

The sale of the 75-bedroom hotel is part of a deal which saw the group buy four hotels across the country.
