‘Leading, not Leaving’ EU rally hits Bristol
The EU Referendum is on June 23 and our future is on the line. This will be one of the most important decisions in our country’s history.
Tomorrow, May 26th, European Movement’s Leading NOT Leaving Tour hits St George’s in Bristol at 7pm. Free registration is now open for this cross-party rally discussing the positive case for our future in Europe.
Speakers include Lord Paddy Ashdown, former Lib Dem Leader Lord Paddy Ashdown, Molly Scott Cato, Green MEP, Thangam Debbonaire, Labour MP for Bristol West, and Nick Herbert, Conservative MP for Arundel and South Downs. The floor will also be open for a Q&A, so come along to make your voice heard.
Just two weeks ago, it was said that “The way forward lies in Britain leading in Europe, not leaving.” Our speakers will make the case for leading, not leaving the European Union. We believe that our future is stronger in Europe.
Britain is better off in the EU. European Union membership has brought with it many irreplaceable benefits, some of which many people don’t even realise. The framework of EU membership was integral to peace in Northern Ireland. Before the UK joined the EU, we had 16 clean beaches. Now, we have 632. The EU has played a crucial role in human rights, LGBT rights, and gender equality. It provides students with the opportunity to live, work, and study abroad. These are just a few things that we can thank the European Union for, with many more to be discussed and celebrated tomorrow. Let’s choose to take control to guarantee that we retain these things that are integral to our daily lives, and continue to lead in Europe.
Look forward to seeing you there. Please arrive at 6.30pm for a 7pm start???.
