Nail bar celebrates first anniversary
A nail bar with 1970s-inspired decor is celebrating its first anniversary.
Emily Fisher, otherwise known as Emily Gossip, founded The Gossip Nail Bar in Old Market in 2017.
After seven years there, The Gossip Nail Bar changed its name to House of Gossip and set up on West Street in Bedminster in April 2024.
is needed now More than ever
The current House of Gossip building was formerly home to The Gossip Play Cafe, also owned by Emily.
When House of Gossip opened in its new location, it also opened an in-house cafe with exclusively vegan and vegetarian food options.
To celebrate its first anniversary, House of Gossip have now launched a loyalty card – giving customers 50 per cent off on their seventh appointment – and a membership scheme.
Starting from Wednesday evening, people who sign up to become House of Gossip members will receive branded merchandise, discounted nail appointments and free tea and coffee at the in-house cafe.
Membership costs £80 per month.

Emily said: “Launching this membership is about so much more than beauty—it’s about building a space where women feel seen, supported, and connected.
“When we opened House of Gossip in Bedminster, our vision was to create more than a salon. We wanted a safe, vibrant space where female energy could flourish. A place where people could come not just to get their nails or beauty done, but to be part of something bigger.
“The Gossip Gang Girl membership is our way of deepening that connection. It’s a celebration of community – of laughter over lattes, catching up over cappuccinos and the little rituals that make us feel good in ourselves and each other.
“It’s about creating a space where you can come in for a brow wax and stay to finish emails while grabbing a bite to eat. A space where it’s just as normal to be getting your nails done as it is to be working on your next big idea with your laptop open beside you.
“We’re here for the side hustlers, the creatives, the carers, the corporate girls and everyone in between.
“This is about holding space for women to feel powerful in their softness, supported in their ambition, and connected to a wider community of like-minded souls.
“House of Gossip isn’t just a salon – it’s a home for modern, empowered femininity in all its forms.”
