Falafels to replace flat whites in Clifton Village

By Martin Booth  Monday Oct 19, 2020

A business that began as a market stall in St Nick’s is soon set to open in its fifth location.

Eat a Pitta offers homemade hummus, fresh salads and a third-generation falafel recipe which originated in Grandma Yolandes’ kitchen in the back streets of Algiers more than 70 years ago.

“As a kid I was always glued to my grandmother’s side as she taught me how to make the perfect falafel, crispy on the outside, moist in the middle,” says Eat a Pitta founder Dan Levy.

With outlets already in St Nick’s, Broadmead, Queen’s Road in Clifton and Gloucester Road, Dan and his team are now getting ready to open their fifth store in the heart of Clifton Village.

It will be opening on the corner of Princess Victoria Street and Regent Street in what for many years was Boston Tea Party.
