A pop-up marathon at the Pipe & Slippers
After a recent refurbishment to its exteriors and bidding goodbye to their kitchen residents, a pub has announced a list of street food pop-ups that will soon be serving cuisines from across the world.
Ever since its opening in 2004, the Pipe & Slippers on Cheltenham Road has been celebrated as a neighbourhood favourite with locals flocking to the place for their food and drink needs.
When Get Smoked said goodbye to the pub, six months after starting there, the future of food in this bustling pub remained a mystery.

And finally, after Iman Salat and James Hillier of Jikoni finish their ongoing pop-up at Old Castle Green, they will head to the Pipe and Slippers from April 7, to serve their familiar East African delicacies.
Speaking about the upcoming pop-ups owner of the Pipe & Slippers, Patrick Rudland said: “We’re so excited to welcome some of Bristol’s most exciting new street-food traders to our kitchen, as well as some returning favourites!
“We really wanted to bring something a bit different to our diners, with a taste of some more unusual and unique cuisines, as well as giving some new up-and-coming traders a chance to showcase their dishes to a new audience.”
