Carny Villains release new EP
It was never the Carny Villains’ intention to become a ‘real’ band.
They began life in 2009 as the house band for the Invisible Circus, playing at events such as Carny Ville, before going on to compose and perform more than 50 original live scores for circus acts and theatrical shows.
Soon they did become a real band, however, and have since played shows all over the UK, Europe and beyond.
Released this month, new seven-track EP Why Am I Here was recorded at The Island Studios and features songs about prison breaks, cricket, 1960s marriage values, religious ponderings and voodoo magic.
The album launch party takes place at the Fleece on September 26, with support from The John Langan Band and DJs Alfie and Kayelord.
