Bristol Sounds announces third headliner for 2026 summer gig series
Bristol Sounds has announced the third gig in its summer series that has taken place at Lloyds Amphitheatre almost every year over the last decade.
Crosstown Concerts have already achieved a major coup for the 2026 series, securing the Streets for not one but two already sold-out shows at which Mike Skinner’s celebrated outfit will perform A Grand Don’t Come For Free live, in full, for the first time.
The announcement builds on the promoter’s growing reputation for presenting artists that are celebrating major anniversaries or delivering special one-off shows for the harbourside audience.
is needed now More than ever
Now the promoters have announced their third headliner will be following in these major acts’ footsteps with a significant milestone of their own.
The Kooks will take to the amphitheatre stage on June 23 to mark the 20th anniversary of their debut album Inside In/Inside Out.
The record, which spawned hits including Naïve, She Moves in Her Own Way, and You Don’t Love Me, sold over 2,000,000 copies worldwide following its release in 2006.
The band released their seventh studio album, Never/Know, earlier this year, reaching the UK Top 5 – their highest chart position since 2008.
The Streets appear on June 25 and 27, while Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark will bring their pioneering synth-pop to the Sounds stage on Friday, June 26.
Tickets for the Kooks go on general sale on October 31 at bristolsounds.co.uk.
