The boring petrolheads trumped the comedy raccoon at the weekend as the tenth Fast & Furious film, imaginatively titled Fast X, took nearly £6m. But the series may finally be running out of fuel as this is behind previous instalments. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, meanwhile, now ranks as the 17th biggest hit in what we’re encouraged to refer to as the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Two other new releases made the top five: Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret and Beau Is Afraid, though the takings of both were comparatively low. Love Again was the big loser, suffering a massive 74% drop in takings in its second week on release and falling out of the top ten altogether.
