Bristol & Bath Regional Capital (BBRC) is a community-minded investment company based in and dedicated to improving communities in the West of England. Its mission is to encourage local communities, companies and investors to work together and drive improvements in the social, environmental and economic environment in the West of England.
BBRC offer expert advice to local projects and enterprises that are looking to generate a socially responsible return through their business activities. The team uses a collaborative approach and understanding of the local area to support organisations in accessing loans and other finance at competitive rates.
BBRC also assists impact organisations with the steps involved in applying for investment. As a Community Interest Company (CIC), BBRC is committed to using these financial tools for the benefit of the region.
The CIC also works with like-minded investors to offer them investment opportunities in local communities that provide both a financial and social return. So far, they have raised close to £30m of new investment into our region through bespoke investment offers and community funds. Their investors have ranged from individuals, institutions, trusts, foundations and ethical banks.
BBRC’s core vision is to channel investment into four key areas in the West of England: Local housing and affordable homes, improvements in the local infrastructure and community services, the local low carbon economy, and local enterprise and employment development.
The company believes that encouraging investment in these areas drives wider improvements in local areas and communities, benefitting everyone.
