A Christmas Carol

Director
Jacqui Morris, David Morris
Certificate
PG
Running Time
94 mins

Sibling directors Jacqui and David Morris give the Dickens classic a makeover which is at once a radical multimedia reinvention and a faithful account of the author’s oft-diluted original themes. It follows a Victorian family as they prepare a toy theatre for their annual performance of A Christmas Carol. Through the imagination of one of the children, we find the cardboard stage transforming to reveal a magical world containing real dancers and stylised sets.

Simon Russell Beale, Martin Freeman, Carey Mulligan, Daniel Kaluuya and Andy Serkis lead the voice cast, while the dance performances are led by former Royal Ballet soloist and BalletBoyz founder Michael Nunn as Scrooge.
