The rich are getting richer while the poor are getting poorer. ‘Trickle-down economics’ doesn’t work. Who knew?

Adapted from Thomas Piketty‘s bestseller, Justin Pemberton‘s documentary may not tell the informed anything new, but it is an entertaining and engaging primer. Interviewees include Francis Fukuyama, who notoriously pronounced three decades ago that the triumph of liberal democracy meant the ‘end of history’. How’s that working out then, Francis? Oddly, you’ll watch in vain for any mention of one of the key issues of our time: the environment.
