Ocean’s 8
Sandra Bullock stars in an all-female spin-off from the lucrative Ocean's heist flick franchise
The all-female Ocean’s 8 officially opens this week after four days of previews, along with Rupert Everett’s Oscar Wilde biopic The Happy Prince, which was ‘platformed’ at a handful of cinemas last week.
Elsewhere the Doc’n Roll Film Festival reaches Bristol for the first time, beginning on Thursday with an eclectic selection of films ranging from death metal to George Michael. The weather forecast is looking very promising for La Boheme, the second of this summer’s three free outdoor screenings beamed live from the Royal Opera House to Millennium Square. There’s also the very welcome return of Young Frankenstein, a bearpit activism evening at the Cube with a new film, Bristol Film Festival’s singalong screening of Grease and much, much more.
