Two by Two: Overboard!

Director
Toby Genkel, Sean McCormack
Certificate
U
Running Time
86 mins

Remember Two by Two, AKA Oops . . . The Ark Has Gone? This German animation was a jolly apocalypse yarn for nippers which played fast and loose with Biblical guff. Because the U-rated end of the world was coming in the form of a bloody great flood, all the adorable talking beasts were piling aboard Noah’s ark. But a couple of primary-coloured critters made up by the filmmakers were inadvertently left behind to learn all kinds of cheesy life lessons.

In the sequel, a pair of said critters tumble overboard and sink to the very depths of hell, where they suffer eternal torment for being an abomination in the sight of The Lord. Uh, sorry parents. I made that last bit up.
