Running Time
156 mins

Return of Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu‘s 2015 survival epic, which bagged Oscars for Best Director, Best Actor and Best Cinematography.

In snowy early 19th century South Dakota, fur trapper Leo DiCaprio is gnawed upon by an angry bear. Rather than nurse him back to health, his shifty companions (Tom Hardy and chums) decide to bury him in a shallow grave and bump off his half-Native American son. But Leo survives and hits the very lengthy vengeance trail. Inarritu’s insistence on a gruelling location shoot reportedly made the crew rather unhappy but paid off in terms of gripping onscreen authenticity. Go here for our full review.
