New cycling festival to roll into Bristol
Pedal takes place at Brunel Quay from August 17-19
It’s a good weekend to have a wander through central Bristol, with a new festival, a free cinema screening and workshop and a theatre walking tour all going on close to the harbourside.
Brand new cycling festival Pedal rolls through Brunel Quay from August 17-19, with roller racing, yoga, accessories for sale, organised rides and more, while on the other side of the water at Wapping Wharf there will be a David Bowie-themed silent disco from 8.30pm on Friday night, raising money for The Grand Appeal’s Gromit Unleashed 2 sculpture trail.
At Arnolfini on Saturday there will be a free screening of LGBT+ film VISIBLE, followed by a workshop with the film’s creators and performances by non-binary artists ALOK and Travis Alabanza.
And, if you’ve not yet seen Show of Strength Theatre’s promenade show Blood, Booze and Buccaneers be sure to catch it on Saturday at 3pm as it visits various dockside hostelries with a connection to Blackbeard.
