14 things to do in Bristol this weekend – December 22-24 2017

The big day is almost upon us, the schools have broken up and there’s an entire shelf heaving with food in the fridge that you aren’t allowed to touch on pain of death. If you’re not panic-buying gifts in Cabot Circus all weekend, then pop along to a few of these events if you find yourself at a loose end.

It’s your final chance to see Grayson Perry’s brilliant exhibition at Arnolfini. Themes include masculinity, sexuality and politics, and it’s been an absolute coup for Bristol to host The Most Popular Art Exhibition Ever! so make sure you get down there if you haven’t already.

There’s still time to squeeze in a few more gigs before the end of 2017, with Electric Swing Circus promising to help you dance off the extra pounds if you’ve overdone it at the office do. Roll For The Soul host their last ever gig with Trust Fund and friends popping up for a final hurrah on Friday, while on Saturday night Bristol’s adopted sister Eva Lazarus tears it up one final time this year.

Finally, get into the Christmas spirit good and proper with magical family theatre show The Snow Baby, or take the tribe to the cinema on Sunday afternoon to watch a one-off screening of the original Home Alone.

From all of us at Bristol24/7, have a wonderful Christmas!
