Up Down Man
Myrtle Theatre's sequel to the acclaimed 'Up Down Boy'
: Wednesday, Nov 8 2017 - Saturday, Nov 18 2017
It’s a busy week in theatreland. Some very fine-looking shows – among them Myrtle Theatre’s poignant and life-affirming Up Down Man, and Kneehigh/Bristol Old Vic’s brand new adaptation of Gunter Grass’ great, riotous, unclassifiable novel The Tin Drum – start their runs this week, and early booking is advised.
Elsewhere, nailed-down gems like Raucous’ Ice Road (our review) and the sparkly and fantastic How to Win Against History (our review) are still going strong. Your theatrical year won’t be complete without seeing either, and preferably both of these.
Comedy ain’t too shabby either, with Simon Amstell, Fern Brady and Roger Monkhouse all looking in. Or why not generate some of your own comic mayhem at the Wardrobe’s excellent monthly Nincompoop session?
