13 things to do in Bristol this weekend, April 27-29 2018

It’s a great weekend if your funny bone is in need of a tickle. Friday sees the return of Tez Ilyas to our fair city, with his new stand up show Testify at North Street’s Hen & Chicken, while on Saturday Bridget Christie plays Bristol Old Vic with her solo show What Now?. Chubby White, a night of eclectic stand up and sketch comedy also returns on Saturday at Bristol Improv Theatre with Jordan Brooke, Andy Field, Tamsyn Kelly and friends having lots of fun.

If you’re more of a drinker than a thinker, don’t miss Good Chemistry’s tap room reopening on Friday night, Filter Friday at Extract Coffee Roasters in St Werburgh’s, or Bristol Whisky Festival at City Hall on Saturday night. Bottoms up!
