Following concerts with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and a stunning Bristol debut in 2017, Serbian pianist Stefan Ciric joins BCP for the first in a complete cycle of Rachmaninov’s hugely popular piano concertos over the coming year.

Rachmaninov’s 1st Piano Concerto shows the pianistic wizardry and glorious melodies for which he became loved the world over. The concert starts and finishes with two of Rachmaninov’s heroes: a sparkling overture from Rimsky Korsakov and the brooding, magnificent 5th Symphony in which Tchaikovsky wrestles with fate itself – and wins.
