Yes, it’s Donald Trump: The Movie. These computer animations take so long to produce that nobody could have anticipated that the American people, in their wisdom, would elect an angry, tantrum-prone toddler as their president. Nor, deliciously, that the finest parody of the orange Twittering buffoon would be by Alec Baldwin, who was signed up to voice the Boss Baby way back in 2014. All of which means that this new film from Tom McGrath, director of the Madagascar flicks, promises much additional, unintended enjoyment.

The story centres on Baldwin’s Boss Baby Templeton, to give him his full name: a sinister, besuited, fast-talking toddler tycoon with a briefcase. Alas, the Trump comparisons end with the film’s message, which is the usual family-friendly guff about increasing the amount of love in the world.
